Motorcyclist critically injured in Pukekohe crash

A man is in a critical condition after his motorcycle collided with a vehicle in Pukekohe.

Emergency services were called to the scene at about 4pm today at the intersection of Buckland and Tuakau Rds.

The driver of the vehicle was injured, police said.

A northern ambulance communications spokeswoman said a rescue helicopter flew the man to Auckland City Hospital.

Counties Manukau Serious Crash Unit was investigating.
