A motorcyclist is dead after a collision in the Waikato today.
The motorcycle travelling east struck a vehicle heading in the opposite direction on State Highway 23 in Whatawhata in the Waikato, police said.
Details of the accident were not immediately clear and were under investigation.
The lone occupant of
the vehicle was badly shaken up, according to a police statement, and is being attended to by ambulance.
The road is closed and is estimated to be closed for another couple of hours.
