Motorcycle crashes off Rimutaka Hill Road, near Featherston

A motorcyclist crashed off the Rimutaka Hill Rd this morning.

A rescue helicopter was sent to retrieve the rider, who had a broken arm, a police spokeswoman said.

The motorcycle crashed just before 6.30am, about 5km south of Featherston.

The southbound lane is closed and police are managing traffic.

Stop/go signs are in place.
