Motorbikes collide on Northland sand dunes

Two motorbikes have collided in sand dunes in Northland this afternoon.

Emergency services were contacted about the crash at Shipwreck Bay in Ahipara about 5pm, a Police spokesman said.

Police and ambulance paramedics were trying to make their way to the scene of the crash in the sand dunes.

The isolated location means communication is difficult.
