Drivers were bumper-to-bumper for up to two hours after a motorbike crash on the Southern Motorway in Auckland this morning.
The north-bound incident occurred about 100m from the Greenlane exit about 8.15am, Police Inspector Ian Brooker said.
There were reports the crash took place between a truck and one or two motorbikes, he said.
No injuries were reported.
"It was a truck and a motorbike, that's what the callers told us. Another one talks about two bikes," he said.
"The fast lane was blocked for a while. Nothing about injuries."
The crash was now cleared, he said.
The New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) said motorists should still expect delays.
The crash had blocked two lanes on the motorway for a time, but had since been cleared, the agency tweeted.
It was taking more than an hour to get from Manukau to the city with "lots of rubber-necking" from drivers, it said.
"#Crash citybound on Sthn Mwy prior to Greenlane is clear. Expect #delays as traffic eases. Currently 80min from Manukau to City," NZTA said.
