Mother charged over diabetic son's death

A grand jury in Richmond, Virginia, has returned two indictments against a New Zealand woman charged in connection with the death of her diabetic son.

Sirelli "Cheryl" Brewer, 37, was indicted on one count each of child neglect and arson.

Authorities claim Brewer failed to provide insulin for her 16-year-old son, Joshua Pothan, who died on April 8. The arson charge followed a fire that gutted two floors of her Virginia home the next day.
