Mother charged after toddler killed in scooter accident

A 22-year-old mother of a toddler, who was killed on a motor scooter in August, has been charged with careless driving causing death.
The incident happened in the Christchurch suburb of Woolston.
The two-year-old girl was riding pillion when the scooter, being driven by her mother, collided with
a truck.
Police said the mother received moderate to serious injuries in the crash.
She will appear in court on December 19.
