More items have been found in rugged bush in Tongariro National Park as the search for two men continues.
Police, defence, and land search and rescue staff resumed the search today for Vincent Taurima and a friend, both in their 20s, who are believed to have fled police in a stolen car on Saturday before running into the bush.
Search teams continued to find items yesterday which they believed belong to the two men.
Police said this confirmed they were focusing search efforts in the correct area.
Police met with whanau of the two men last night to provide them with an update on the search.
Members of Tuwharetoa were also in attendance with police acknowledging the ongoing help and support being provided by the iwi.
