A Gisborne man is being flown to Waikato Hospital after being stabbed last night, but police do not know whether the incident is gang related.
The man, in his 20s, was stabbed in the arm on a street in the suburb of Kaiti.
He requires specialist treatment
for soft tissue damage.
The victim is a Mongrel Mob member, but detectives say he will not reveal whether that was a factor in his attack.
