A 35-year-old woman travelling with Miss Li was flown to Dunedin Hospital by rescue helicopter with moderate to serious injuries following the crash.
An update on her condition could not be provided.
Last week Detective Kevin Kirkman, of Oamaru said none of the six occupants involved in the crash were from the Oamaru area, however he declined to say where they were from.
An 88-year-old man and 83-year-old woman were admitted to Oamaru Hospital with minor injuries following the crash and a 56-year-old man and 57-year-old woman were treated for minor injuries at the scene.
Following the crash Moeraki locals, including Waitaki district councillor Jan Wheeler called
for flashing lights either side of the township and speed limits "as low as possible'' for the stretch of road.
A NZ Transport Agency spokeswoman said the Safe Roads Alliance would investigate SH1 from Oamaru to Dunedin early next year.
