Mobil investigates Southland petrol shortfall

Mobil is investigating why petrol pumps ran dry at some Southland service stations.

A delay in fuel deliveries forced Mobil station owners in Invercargill, Gore and Te Anau to close their pumps at the weekend. Te Anau Mobil was still dry yesterday.

Owner-operator Mark Dowling said he had been promised a shipment and hoped to be open for business today.
