Missing woman finds her way home

An elderly woman missing overnight in New Plymouth has turned up safe at her home this morning.

Sixty-nine-year-old Marie, whose surname was not disclosed, suffers from dementia and went missing from her Dorset Ave home about 9.30pm yesterday.

Search teams scoured the streets for her until about 5am.

Police were told about 8.30am she had been found in her bed, a police spokesman said.
