Missing US tourist found on yacht in Marlborough Sounds

An American tourist reported missing over the weekend in the South Island has been found on board a charter.

Items belonging to Jason Johns, including his passport, were left at a Marlborough marina and discovered by port security.

Today, Tasman Police said the missing 36-year-old tourist was found on board a charter yacht in the Queen Charlotte Sound this morning.

They thanked the maritime community for helping locate the tourist.
