Missing Rotorua teen found in Wellington library

Missing Rotorua teenager Matthew Wong has been found.

The 16-year-old, who hadn't been seen since Thursday last week, was found in a tired state yesterday by staff at Wellington's public library.

He was then being cared for by health professionals.

His family were said to be very pleased he had been found and was being looked after.

Police have thanked the public for their assistance.

The Rotorua teenager was previously last seen on September 22 and there were growing concerns for his wellbeing.

The 16-year-old had missed a medical appointment and police had serious concerns for his health.
