An Otago woman who went missing from her home yesterday afternoon has been found.

Bernadette Anne Flett, 59, left her Mosgiel home yesterday about 1pm.

Nobody knew where she went, and she did not have a cellphone on her at the time, police said.

Her family and police held concerns for her welfare, police said, appealing for the public to look out for her.

Ms Flett has now been found, police said this afternoon.

"Police would like to thank the help of the public with the information they sent through," police said in a short statement.
