Missing Oamaru man found safe and well

An Oamaru man missing since Sunday has been found safe and well.

Police earlier said they were extremely concerned for the safety of Paul Kevin Canning, known as "Cannon''.

Search and rescue teams searched the South Hill area for Mr Canning yesterday, until darkness halted the search about 8.30pm.

Police said today that Mr Canning had been located in an empty building in Oamaru and was safe and well.

"The Oamaru police would like to thank the public for their efforts and assistance in locating Paul.''
