A German tramper has been found following a search involving three ground teams yesterday.

Police said Esther Gehrmann was located about 3.30pm yesterday, near Roebuck Hut in the Mt Richmond ranges.

She then received medical treatment.

Police became concerned for Ms Gehrmann's welfare, after she left a message in the Mt Starveall Hut logbook in the Mt Richmond Ranges on Tuesday, March 10.

Three ground search teams, including a search dog, were in the area yesterday after the search for the missing woman was widened.

Police thanked search and rescue volunteers who helped in the search for Ms Gehrmann.
