Four Kiribati fishermen a New Zealand air force Orion last month spent three days searching for have been found alive, according to a news report.
The men were washed ashore in Papua New Guinea although there were no immediate details of their condition.
They went missing on October
11, in a 6m open boat.
The Pacific Magazine today reported that a call by high frequency radio from a yacht in Tarawa, Kiribati, said they had been found.
The group reportedly included the Kiribati airport manager.
