A fisherman who disappeared in an estuary north of Auckland while wearing a heavy leather jacket has been named by police.
Search teams are still looking for Maxium Efremychev, 25, who has not been seen since he fell from a small inflatable boat at Ti Point near Omaha about 11amon Saturday.
Police said the search resumed this morning with members of the police national dive squad entering the water for a second day, accompanied by the police launch Deodar.
Specialist sonar equipment from the navy was also being used in the search.
Aerial searches by the police Eagle helicopter and a Coastguard fixed wing aircraft were also been carried out, along with extensive searches of the shoreline.
