Missing elderly man found safe near home

An elderly man who went missing from his Christchurch retirement home yesterday afternoon has been found, police said.

Police this morning expressed concerns for Adrian Crawshaw, 85, who had not been seen since about 5.30pm, at his retirement home in suburban Spreydon.

Urging neighbours to look out for the missing man, police said Mr Crawshaw suffered from memory loss, and they were concerned the weather overnight had been very cold.

Sergeant Peter Summerfield said Mr Crawshaw had been found a short distance from his home and was being checked by ambulance staff.
