Missing 12-year-old found from Kaiapoi, near Christchurch, found

A 12-year-old boy from Kaiapoi who went missing yesterday has been found safe and well this afternoon, and reunited with his family.

Canterbury police earlier said they were looking for missing boy Khanye Harimate.

Khanye is 12-years-old and from Kaiapoi.

They said he might have been on his way to Christchurch, possibly with friends.

Police were concerned for his welfare due to his age and asked anyone that may have seen him contact Police.
