The two people on board a helicopter when it crashed at Nelson Airport this afternoon escaped with only minor injuries, police say.
The helicopter crashed near a runway at the airport at 3.46pm today, Police Southern Communications shift manager Warren Kemp said.
Mr Kemp said the Civil Aviation
Authority was investigating.
Ian Henderson, of St John, said two ambulances attended the crash and two patients were treated for minor injuries.
