A family legal wrangle involving rugby commentator and former All Black Murray Mexted has been resolved.
Mexted and his three siblings had brought proceedings against their uncle John Leon Taylor over a dispute concerning a commercial property owned by Mr Taylor's trust and the trust of their late mother.
Itis understood her trust - called the Beverley Mexted Property Trust - was set up by Mr Taylor.
The trust has a 25 per cent stake in a commercial property on Auckland's North Shore. The other 75 per cent is held by a trust controlled by Mr Taylor.
Mrs Mexted left her trust to her four children - including her 34-test veteran son - when she died.
The income from the property is split, with 75 per cent going to Mr Taylor's trust and 25 per cent going to the beneficiaries of the Beverley Mexted trust.
It is understood Mexted and his siblings had claimed their trust had not received proper income from the commercial property.
The matter was due to be heard in the High Court at Auckland tomorrow but will not now go ahead as the matter has been resolved.
The agreement between the parties is confidential.
Mr Taylor said the matter was "completely finished" and would not comment further.
His lawyer, Bruce Stewart QC, declined to comment.
Mexted and his lawyer Jan McCartney SC could not be reached for comment.
