Message watered down in Huntly

Tourism Waikato is celebrating the removal of a billboard on State Highway 1 in Huntly which said: "No Aucklanders - our foreign policy".

Lion Breweries has now changed the Waikato Draught beer board to read "Raglan, our surfer's paradise", after Tourism Waikato asked the company to use a less controversial message.

Doug Paulin, the company's domestic category director, said the original message was light-hearted.

"But we don't want to alienate anyone."
