Approximately 182 New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF) personnel will be deployed on operations around the world over the Christmas period this year. While Christmas will be a normal working day on operations, the deployed Kiwis will be able to mark the occasion, with some planning a traditional Christmas lunch and others a customary game of backyard cricket or rugby. Personnel in Antarctica, Korea, and parts of the Middle East may even experience a white Christmas. From wherever they are in the world, NZDF personnel would like to wish their families, friends and the rest of the country a very Merry Christmas.
