The "Across Lake Taupo 4.2km Swim" took place Saturday February 24 and comprised solo and relay swimmers.
Masterton's 'Awesome Foursome' 4 x 1.05km relay team was the winner of the major trophy for the first adult team to cross the finish line.
The winning team included Liz Brown, Ngaire Clarke, Cathie Morton
and Captain Brian Bourke.
There were also four successful 4.2km solo crossings completed by Masterton Masters swimmers, which included Sue Bankier, Alfredo Adler, competing for the first time, Graeme Corrin, competing for the second consecutive year and Derek Smith competing for the 12th consecutive year.
The swim started at 7am in choppy conditions with a strong south east wind, however conditions did improve as the swim progressed across the lake.
Masterton Masters swimmers are now preparing for the annual Sheep Dip carnival, which will be held at the Genesis Recreation Centre on April 21.
