"Being a family owned and operated company, there is a common thread, or goal that we push for."
As a family business, Mr Buchanan said the company had a people-orientated mindset.
"We haven't lost the personal touch.
"Our company motto 'stop for service where service never stops' says it all really.
"Everyone likes to see the client happy at the end of the project and that creates job satisfaction and of course return business."
Hutt Valley Chamber of Commerce chief executive Mark Futter said the eight companies that are to be inducted on Friday are prime examples of businesses that not only contribute to the regional economy, but also to the overall health of their local communities.
"The aim of the Hall of Fame is to recognise and celebrate significant contributions by businesses to the economic and social fabric of our region.
"These eight businesses showcase the diversity, dedication and resilience required to have a meaningful impact on the global villages in which we all live, work and play."
Other businesses that will be inducted to the hall of fame are Whittakers, Wellington Zoo, and CentrePort.
