Police are searching for a person after a call for help was heard near a Wairarapa river tonight.
Emergency services are at Dixon St in Masterton, near the skate park, after reports of a person calling for assistance about 7.30pm, police said.
Search and Rescue teams are on their wayto the area.
Anyone who was in the Dixon St area around that time and heard signs of a person in distress, or has information that could help police, are urged to come forward.
