Masoe dropped several kilograms to fight in his division but sacrificed no power or speed during his fight against Isaiah Hemapo, of Bandog Muay Thai Stratford.
Masoe fought well from the opening bell, Baron said, and despite an even second round had "devastated" his opponent in the third and final round, Baron said.
He said the Masterton club was moving seamlessly in to a new generation of winning fighters in the wake of former Fortitude fighter Zane Hopman, who took New Zealand and world titles before going professional as a kickboxer and boxer.
"Zane's a hard act to follow but we're lucky we've got former fighters coaching at Fortitude like New Zealand pro middleweight champion Brendan Varty and Rhys Richards, who is a really good technical trainer.
"It's good to have so much experience in the gym and a solid training team involved, and it's great for the up-and-coming fighters."
