Masterton Golf Club member Sam-Maree Brown has had a big week.
She was selected to play in the qualifying rounds of the NZ women's amateur championship at Mt Maunganui. Forty-eight women were selected and Sam-Maree was the youngest.
Her caddy reports the tees were as far back as they couldbe on Mt Maunganui, which made it a struggle. Sam-Maree's putting was excellent and she will obviously learn from the experience.
