Masterton and Otago health improvements

The Government has approved almost $35 million to revamp hospitals in Wairarapa and Central Otago.

Health Minister Annette King said the Wairarapa District Health Board's plans for a $27.2 million redevelopment at Masterton Hospital had been approved. A further $7.6 million was going to the Otago District Health Board to redevelop Dunstan Hospital in Central Otago.

Proposals covering Waikato and Thames hospitals, Tauranga Hospital and Kaitaia Hospital were being considered by the National Capital Committee this week.
