Katherine Greer is determined to put a positive spin on what she's calling a "mass kidnapping''.
Just a day after 47 bollard covers were installed at the Esplanade in St Clair to encourage voting, 18 were stolen.
"They took all the fun ones designed to entertain,'' she said.
Made by
five women from mainly polar fleece, felt and wool, the covers were a mixture of the practical and the elaborate.
The positive twist is that the plain covers pushing the message to vote remained in place yesterday.
