Marie Davis murder accused Dean Stewart Cameron is to stand trial, a Christchurch court has ruled.
Cameron, a 38-year-old roading worker, is charged with the rape and murder of 15-year-old Marie, whose body was found in the Waimakariri River about two weeks after her disappearance in April.
Followinga depositions hearing, Christchurch District Court today said Cameron should stand trial.
He was remanded in custody until December 12 when a trial date will be set, probably for mid-2009.
