Save The eastern Auckland suburb of Maraetai has been hit by coastal flooding from a king tide for the second time this year.
The rough sea washed above the seawall this morning as the king tide reached its peak.
A cafe owner on Maraetai Coast Rd said the sea was coming
on to the road but had not reached the shops and houses.
"It is not as bad as the flooding we had a month ago," he said.
"It is only a 3.5m tide, and tonight will be smaller again, so we should be OK."
