Man's death sparks homicide investigation

Waikato police have launched a homicide investigation after the death of a 30-year-old man on a property near Waingaro, between Ngaruawahia and Raglan.

Police said ambulance staff were called to the property soon after 3am yesterday, but the man was dead when they arrived.

A team of 14 police officers from Huntly, Ngaruawahia and Hamilton are working on the investigation.

Police said it was too early to release information on the case.
