Police are trying to identify a man whose body washed up on rocks north of Raglan this afternoon.
The body was found on rocks at an isolated spot on Waikato's west coast, Te Hara Point, about 15km north of Raglan.
The man, about 50, was thought to have
been fishing off rocks before falling into the surf and drowning, police said.
Police urged rock anglers to take basic safety precautions and always wear a lifejacket when fishing.
