The body of a 59-year-old fisherman has been recovered from Lake Taupo overnight.
The man had launched his boat at Kinloch yesterday afternoon and was later seen by two people swimming towards the shore, Radio New Zealand said.
The witnesses contacted police when the man disappeared from sight about 75m
