Manhunt under way for offender who assaulted one person at Onehunga Mall

A manhunt is under way for a person who attacked another a man in Onehunga Mall, Auckland his afternoon.

The man suffered an injury to his face, police report, and he was transported to Auckland Hospital in a moderate condition.

Earlier, a police spokesman told the Herald the attack took place near the intersecting streets of Princes St and Pearce St at 3pm.

He said police were called to the scene to assist St John.

Meanwhile, a spokeswoman said officers on the scene are conducting inquiries in an attempt to locate the offender.
