Save A spate of manhole cover thefts at the weekend has prompted Auckland Council to warn people to be careful.
Eleven covers were stolen in Papakura but the holes have been given a temporary covering until replacements can be found.
Scrap metal dealers have been asked to look out for the
covers, and anyone who saw them being taken is asked to contact the police.
To report a missing manhole cover, ring Auckland Council on (09) 301 0101 or tell the police.
