Mangere retirement village investigated

The Securities Commission is investigating a Mangere retirement village that this year told elderly residents they must pay extra fees of up to $640 a week to stay in their homes.

Associate Health Minister Ruth Dyson yesterday confirmed to Parliament that the Securities Commission was investigating Culverden Retirement Village to see if its treatment of residents complied with the Securities Act.
