Former hockey star Mandy Smith is set to marry her Team New Zealand sailor sweetheart Dean Barker in Queenstown in a secret ceremony on Saturday.
The pair are arguably New Zealand's hottest celebrity couple with Smith voted New Zealand's sexiest woman in a survey last year and Barker rating third inthe men's rankings.
The wedding is shrouded in secrecy and the couple's agent, Andy Haden, and Smith's mother, Ruth Smith, both said they could neither confirm nor deny that it was taking place.
However, a source close to the couple has confirmed the date and location to the Otago Daily Times.
Australian Women's Weekly New Zealand editor Jenny Farrell said the magazine had signed an exclusive deal for media rights to the ceremony. She declined to comment on where it would be held.
The couple, who live in Auckland, were engaged in Hawaii in July last year after Barker placed a $5 mood ring bought from a toy store on her finger.
