Manawatu crash victim identified

The elderly man who died in a crash in Manawatu on Friday has been identified.

He was Paul Potama, 78, of Tangimoana.

Mr Potama's car crashed into the pole near the intersection of Tangimoana and Rosina roads near Bulls about 4pm.

He was the sole occupant of the vehicle.

Police said the investigation into the cause of the crash was ongoing, and the death had been referred to the coroner.
