The man who severed his fingers with a skillsaw near Napier yesterday is in a stable condition following surgery in Hutt Hospital.
The 34-year-old's fingers were accidentally sawn off while operating a skillsaw at Puketitiri, the Lowe Corporation Rescue Helicopter said yesterday.
He was flown to Hawke's Bay Regional Hospital
