Man who died in diving accident named

Save A man who died in a diving incident at Queen Charlotte Sound in Marlborough yesterday has been named. He was Michael John Brown, aged 64.
Mr Brown lived aboard his yacht at Shakespeare Bay in Picton and was formally from Deborah Bay in Otago.
A friend of Mr Brown said
he had dived into the water at Momorangi Bay to clear a mooring line about 12m deep.
The police national dive squad recovered his body at about 7pm yesterday.
The matter has been referred to the Coroner and a post-mortem examination will be carried out today.
