Man who died during turkey shoot named

A man who died while hunting turkeys near Te Puke on Sunday has been named as Leon Wouter Smith, 59, from Tauranga.

Police said they were investigating the death of Mr Smith who was hunting turkeys with relatives on a remote rural block south of Te Puke.

The man's death had been referred to the coroner.
