A man has been seriously injured following a quad bike crash in rural Te Puke.
The 28-year-old farmer suffered head and back injuries after losing control of the quad bike while moving stock, the Trustpower TECT Rescue Helicopter trust said.
The rescue chopper was sent to the scene, where thequad bike had rolled backwards over a bank.
The man was airlifted to Tauranga Hospital in a serious condition.
