A man has been seriously injured in a fall near Oamaru.

He was airlifted to Dunedin Hospital's emergency department after the fall on Whitestone-Five Forks Rd at 9.45am yesterday.

A St John spokesman said the man, 50, was in a serious condition.

There were no other details about the circumstances of his fall.
