A man has been seriously injured while climbing a tree after it came into contact with power lines in west Auckland this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Hepburn Rd in Glendene shortly before 1pm, a St John Ambulance spokesman said.
"A person fell out of a
tree after it came into contact with some powerlines," the spokesman said.
An ambulance and a St John jeep were dispatched and transported the man to Auckland City Hospital in a serious condition.
