A man who sent half naked photos of his ex-girlfriend to her shared work email address has been sentenced under the Harmful Digital Communications Act.
Michael Lang appeared in the Whanganui District Court on Monday, having pleaded guilty to the offence, along with unrelated charges of causing loss by deceptionand breaching release conditions.
Police prosecutor Sergeant Stephen Butler said the victim was Lang's 24-year-old ex-partner.
On November 3 he sent an email to her work account, which is shared with her colleagues and regularly used and checked by others at the property firm she works at.
A receptionist opened the email, which had 11 photos attached of the victim "in various states of undress".
