Police are searching for a man who pushed a woman over and shoved his hands down her pants in the Wellington suburb of Karori.
About 7.20pm on Wednesday, a man approached a woman walking in Karori Park and tried to indecently assault her, a police spokesperson said.
"The victim was
walking in Karori Park, on Karori Rd, near the children's playground, when a man with a dog approached her, pushed her over and put his hands down her pants," the spokesperson said.
"The victim did not require ambulance treatment, but was shaken and disturbed by the assault. The woman has been offered victim support."
The man is described as Caucasian aged in his 30s, who was walking a mixed-breed dog at the time.
